It was a beautiful late summers's day. Widgeon Creek starts at the south end of Pitt Lake near Coquitlam. After a short 300 meter paddle across Pitt Lake we entered the river for a peaceful one hour paddle up the river. It was an easy paddle with only a few shallow spots where we had to get out pull the canoe. It was hard to believe this was a short drive from the city.
