Evening Run to the Spanish Banks
Its something I don't think I will ever get tired of (well except for the running part :-). The ocean, sky and what is happing along the way is always differnt. Thie is one evening...
View looking back on Vancouver.
There are always a number of ships anchored in the bay.
Cyprus mountain and ski runs are in the center.
Grouse mountain is to the right. The white patch on the top is one of the ski runs. The wooded area to the center and right is Stanley Park.
There is lots of driftwood along the beaches.
Most sailboats were still in harbor.
At this point I stopped to take a picture. An elderly lady asked if I would take a picture of her with her dog. She said it is her favorite place along the beach. She took my picture for me.
This is my turn around point and the end of the Spanish Banks.
The tide was going out and the sea birds were landing in the shallow waters.
There were lots of gulls, crows and I saw one eagle.
As the sun set it was rather magical. The waters were full of birds apparently like me, enjoying the sunset.
