The Garden
This garden was maintained by a friend. It was used to grow fresh fruits and vegetables as well as preserve rare and endangered native plants.
The road up. Much of the property is on the hillside.
The main building.
The building was built to house water tanks for the garden. In the front there is a living area and porch. It also has a washroom and kitchen area.
The plants to the right are passion fruit an melons grown on trellises.

Tea plants from 5 months to one year old.
Cooking sticky rice cooked in bamboo and fish in a banana leaf.

Cold cucumber soup and sticky rice.
Fresh sweet potatoes. They were excellent -- almost like candy.
Sticky rice. It is held together with a thin paper from the bamboo. Cooking in the bamboo also adds a lot of flavour.
