Phong Nha Cave
The caves are about a 20 minute boat ride from town. The boats are about $20 and take up to 11 people. I just asked for a 'share boat' so I paid a couple of dollars to go on a boat with another group.
Heading off to the cave.
I am not sure what the tower is. It had an interesting design.
A church tower it very common to see.
The main cave is to the left. The buildings to the right lead to a second cave.
Looking back after entering the cave.
As the boats enter the cave, the motors are shut off and they paddle in with a big ore on the front and back.
Even though there was a bit of a traffic jam all you heard was the sound of ores in the water and the odd clunk of boats touching.
The main formations were lit up.
It was very peaceful.
It is amazing how many different formations there are.
The boats turned around at the end of the water passage. Then we walked out via another passage.
The ground was covered in sand.
So many different types of formations.
Not sure how these flat surfaces would have been formed.
So many impressive structures.
I found it very peaceful. The air was fresh and cool. It was quite and you are surrounded by natures art.
The passage leading out.
Looking back at the entrance.
