Kho Chang
My visas for Myanmar, Loas and Cambodia were going to take a week, so my travel agent suggeted I go to Kho Chang. It is an island in the south eastern part of Thailand.
Car/passenger ferry to Kho Chang.
The sun set as we crossed.
Arrriving on the island.
The main street of the small town where I stayed.
My bungalow was on the forest side. At night you could hear lots of jungle sounds.
What is in that amber bottle?
During the day it was very high tide so in places the beach disappeared.
In the evening the tide would go out.
The typical sunset in the tropics.
I took a day long skin diving trip on this boat.
One of the many fishing trawlers. The booms have lights on them to attract fish. At night you see there lights dotting the horizon.
One of the four islands we stopped at.
On the last island, the resort had a facility to raise sea turtles, to help repopulate them.
A view from the last stop looking back on Kho Chang.
